Birthday Parties and Other Event Rentals 2011


Sandcastles offers birthday parties. Host your child's birthday party at Sandcastles Children's Museum for a super time! We provide one staff person and paper products if requested. Nothing is easier than a party at Sandcastles! We provide the space, supplies and clean up when you are finished.

Because we have renovated the lower level of our new building for parties and other events, we can now host birthday parties and events during museum hours as well as after hours. Call Marcia, our party/events coordinator, at 231-843-4363 to book your event today - or download and complete the appropriate invoice/confirmation and mail it in.

Birthday Parties scheduled during open museum hours:

-$80 non-member/$70 member for use of the museum and party room for 2 hours;$15 added for each additional hour reserved
-This fee is for up to 12 children. Each additional child is $4.00 (to be paid at the door). Since we encourage adult interaction, adult chaperones are free.
-Cancellation fee: full refund if cancelled a day in advance, $25 fee if cancelled the day of the event (843-4363)

-$125 non-members/$110 member for use of the museum and party room for 2 hours; $50 added for each additional hour reserved
-This fee is for up to 12 children. Each additional child is $4.00 (to be paid at the door). Adult chaperones are free
-Cancellation fee: full refund if cancelled a day in advance, $50 fee if cancelled the day of the event (843-4363)

Other Event Rentals 2011


Event using party/meeting room only (basement)when museum is open:
-$60 non-member/$50 member for use of the room for 2 hours; $15 for each additional hour
-Cancellation fee: full refund if cancelled two days in advance, otherwise $25 will not be refunded

Event using party/meeting room only (basement)when museum is closed:
-$100 non-members/$90 member for use of the room for 2 hours; $25 for each additional hour
-Cancellation fee: full refund if cancelled two days in advance, otherwise $50 will not be refunded

Event Using the museum and the party/meeting room when museum is open:
-$80 non-members/$70 members for two hour; $15 for each additional hour
-$4 for each child (ages 1-12) entering the museum and $2 per adult (paid upon arrival)
-Cancellation fee: full refund if cancelled two days in advance, otherwise $25 will not be refunded

Field Trips

We welcome groups such as school groups or day care centers. Call our field trip coordinator at 231-843-4363 to make arrangements. Admission is $4.00 for each child ($3.00 each for non profits). Adults are free as we encourage adult/child interaction at the museum. An invoice will be sent following the field trip. If you need to cancel, call Marcia at 843-4363 at least one day before the field trip. We ask that you bring one chaperone for every 10 children; each chaperone must be at least a senior in high school. Seventy-five (children and chaperones) is the limit.
