How to Donate to Sandcastles Children's Museum
Capital Campaign
We are currently nearing the end of our first capital campaign with a goal of $250,000. With the money already raised, we have paid off much of our debt, renovated the exhibit area and the basement, and updated the roof, wiring, heating and cooling, and plumbing. Our chief fundraising goals for this campaign have been to pay off the building and to replace the roof. At the end of 2012, our remaining balance was about $20,000 for the building. We have also begun to raise funds for a new roof. Our capital campaign is one of our funds within the Community Foundation of Mason County (CFMC). Donors may contribute to the Sandcastles Capital Fund within the CFMC or by mailing a donation directly to Sandcastles at PO Box 595, Ludington MI 49431. Donations may also be made securely on this page through PayPal with a credit card or a PayPal account (see below).

Fundraising Activities
Each year Sandcastles holds one or more fundraisers to add to our fund within the Community Foundation of Mason County and/or to cover large expenses.
Other Fundraising Goals
At Christmas time 2011, our Nutcracker Concert was the first fundraiser targeted toward our need for a new roof within the next few years. We will also have to repair and/our replace some of the brick and stone work. Before we can use the second story of our building, we will need to update the heating and cooling system and completely renovate the interior. To make the second story accessible to all, we will need an elevator. It is likely that a second capital campaign will be launched to cover these expenses.
